A program for children aged 8+ teaching the basics of computer programming in a fun, creative and engaging environment.
About Code Club
Code Club uses freely available programming language called Scratch. This allows children to work on their own projects in between Code Club sessions, as well as explore games and animations made by other children from around the world.
Code Club sessions take place weekly throughout the school term, with meetings usually taking place at Hurstville and Kogarah Libraries. During these unprecedented times, Georges River Libraries will be offering the Term 2 Code Club online via Zoom.
Expressions of interest are currently being sent out, however you can register your child’s name on the waiting list through Eventbrite.
Your child will need to create an online Scratch account. This will allow them to share what they create and allow them to access class content. It is important that your child remembers their username and password for each session.
Weekly content will be uploaded to this page so that parents can stay up to date with what Code Club is working on. For those who miss out on a place at Code Club, step by step lessons will also be uploaded here so you can follow along at your own pace!
